Alfonso Pacheco

Alfonso "Al" Pacheco, age 63, beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 14, 2019, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Espanola, NM and was a lifelong resident of Alameda.  Al was a loving, caring and gentle spirit, who loved playing the blues on his guitar, and was a true basketball fan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Benjamin Pacheco; five brothers, Phillip, George Diego, Charlie, LeRoy Pacheco, and Joseph Sanchez.
Alfonso is survived by his loving mother, Rose L. Torres; his siblings, Elizabeth Pacheco-Quinn (his caregiver), Prescilla Vigil and husband Manuel, Frankie Pacheco, and Marvin Sanchez; special nieces and nephews, Galen, Nathan "Dex", and Perfeta Quinn; and other numerous relatives and friends.  Al will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.

A Rosary will be recited Monday, March 18, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. at  Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St. NW, Albuquerque, the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m.  Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.  Casket Bearers will be Frankie Pacheco, Marvin Sanchez, Phillip James Pacheco, Mark Pacheco, Matthew Pacheco, Dominico Vigil, Gregorio Vigil, Antonio Vigil, Galen Quinn, and Nathan "Dex" Quinn.  Honorary Bearers will be Alicia Pacheco and Perfeta Quinn.
