Andrea Olivia Lucero June 27, 1946 – March 31, 2026 Andrea O. Lucero, 79, of Corrales, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026. Born on June 27, 1946, in Las Vegas, New Mexico, Andrea was the daughter of Domingo and Augustina Ortiz. She will be remembered for her loyalty, strength, generosity, wisdom, and the deep care she held for her family. Andrea was preceded in death by her parents, Domingo and Augustina Ortiz; her husband, Wilfred Lucero Sr.; her son, Wilfred Lucero Jr.; and her brother, Richard “Ricky” Ortiz. She is survived by her children, Antoinette (Joe), Paul, Claudette (John), and Jeanette (Leonard); her grandchildren, Fredo (Shannon), Stephanie (Dillon), Adam, Sean (Angelina), Brendon (Miranda), Marissa, Joseph, Leonard, and Jacob; and her great-grandchildren, Leelanie, Hayes, Wesley, Emmett, and Marz. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, bringing her endless pride and happiness. She is also survived by her siblings, Lauterio, Robert, Rosie, Patricia, and Ronald. Lovingly known as Andie, and to many, Auntie Andie, Andrea found her greatest joy in the people she cared for. Her love was the steady, strong, and unwavering foundation of her family. She gave so much of herself to those around her, and her presence will be deeply missed by the generations who will carry her memory in their hearts.A rosary will be held on April 15, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, with Mass to follow and a reception afterward at American Legion Post 69.In lieu of traditional flowers, the family asks that you consider bringing a plant, flower, or something that can be planted at her lifelong home in Corrales as a living tribute to Andrea’s memory. Her family finds comfort in knowing that Andrea has been reunited with those who went before her and is now at peace.
