Annie Acosta

Annie G. Acosta, age 87, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, was embraced by our Lord Jesus Thursday, March 8, 2018 and taken to her heavenly home.  She was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Santiago and Nieves Garcia; her husband, Pete Acosta; and son-in-law, Dale Rodriguez.

Annie is survived by her loving children, Walter Martinez and wife Arlene, JoAnn Rodriguez, Mary E. Gutierrez and husband Paul, Clarence Martinez and wife Katherine; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are her loving siblings, Clorinda Averill, Nancy Gutierrez, Eusebio Garcia, Sally Garcia, and Santiago Garcia Jr.; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.  Annie will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW, where a Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.   A Communion Service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd., NW.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Casket Bearers will be Shawn Martinez, Daniel Perez, John Paul Gutierrez, Danny Garcia, Matt Rasmussen, and Tom Droelle. Honorary Bearers will be Jason Martinez, Eric Padilla, and Dylan Droelle.
