Antonio Romero

Antonio (Castro/Tony) Romero, age 77, beloved brother, uncle and friend,  passed away peacefully September 25, 2018.  He was born in Marquez, NM and was lifelong resident of New Mexico. Antonio was a rancher who loved being at his ranch in Casa Salazar and riding his horses.  He loved gardening and taking care of his roses and passing them out to the neighbors.  Antonio was a very loving man, although he was never married he had many nieces and nephews that looked up to him, and who he had special nicknames for.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Orcelia Romero; three siblings, Belia, Benny and Gina.  Antonio is survived by his loving siblings, Mary Baldonado, Eloy Romero, Redolfo Romero, Della Montoya, Rita Calderon, Jennifer Medina, and Nancy McRae; and by many nieces and nephews and friends. Antonio will be greatly missed by his loving family and his memory will forever be in their hearts.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services ~ Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St. NW, Albuquerque, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 9502 Fourth St. NW, Albuquerque.  Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, located on Edith South of El Pueblo Rd.  Casket Bearers will be Larry Baldonado, Randy Calderon, Dustin DiBenedetti, Mario Medina, Michael Montoya, and Jose Romero. Honorary Bearer will be Megan McRae.
