Antonio Ruiz

June 12, 1939 — April 10, 2015

Antonio "Tony" J. Cecelio Ruiz, our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend died on April 10, 2015.  He was born on June 12, 1939, to Jose and Flora Ruiz, in Albuquerque, NM.  Tony served in the United States Army for 20 years, retired SFC.   He resided in Las Vegas, N.M. and pursued various business ventures to include Tony & Georgia’s Burrito Kitchen, 2-G’s Bar, and Hide Away Bar.  Tony relocated to Albuquerque where he lived out his years.  Tony was a people person, the life of the party who brought joy and laughter to all he knew.  He loved playing the guitar, singing karaoke, and socializing with his family, friends and fellow Veterans.
He was preceded in death by his brothers Eloy & Dennis Ruiz, and his son Victor.  Tony is survived by his wife, Georgia Ruiz; his daughters, Toni (Dave) Vigus, Connie (Steve) Beck, Julie (James) Dansby; his sons, Daniel (Diann) Ruiz, Dominic Ruiz; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; his brother Efren; sisters, Stella, Rosie, and Reina; brother-in-laws, Benny and Tony Marquez; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Tony will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose hearts he touched.
Committal Services will be conducted Friday, April 17, 2015 at 9:45 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
