Arlene Martinez Valencia

Arlene Sue Martinez, a long-time resident of Albuquerque, passed away March 30, 2021 at the age of 69.

She was born in Albuquerque, NM to Nicanor and Dolores Martinez, on April 4, 1951.  Arlene was a spitfire Hippie, there was nothing she wouldn’t have done to help her family, friends or a perfect stranger. She was a long-time nurse at Casa Rosa Hospice and cared for each and every one as if they were her own. She loved arts and crafts. She was always making something beautiful for someone. Herbals or a homeopathic way were always the way to go with her. She was an Aries, first to be on the front line of life. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicanor and Dolores B Martinez, her Brother and her daughter, Alisha Michele Valdez

She is survived by her son David Valdez his two daughters Lisa and Davina Valdez. Her Daughter V. Kristine Salas Her three Daughter Reyhanna, Cheyanne, Alisha and Son Josiah. Her Son Daniel and Wife Renee two daughters Mercedes, Alyssia and Son Daniel Valdez. Her great grandchildren Aunica, Cherish, Reyes and a baby on the way and her two beloved dogs Shadow, Odie.

Our mother and friend had an amazing heart. She was beautiful and fearless. She will live on in our hearts forever.

Services were placed in the care of Alameda Funeral Home and Crematory. A service will be held on Thursday April 22, 2021 at 11:00 am at New Beginnings Church
