With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Armando Jesus Escarcega, Jr., lovingly called “Mandies,” who left us on November 16, 2025. He was born on November 15, 1988, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and raised in Algodones, New Mexico.
Mandies was known by all for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and generous spirit. He was a gentle soul who loved being in nature, fishing, and exploring. Outdoor adventures brought him peace and he cherished spending time with his family. His nephews and nieces brought him joy, and for Mandies, his life was built on these loving relationships. He leaves a life and legacy of kindness, thoughtfulness, and a big heart, woven deeply in his family which will be remembered for generations to come.
He is survived by his loving parents, Armando and Magdalena Escarcega; his three sisters, Guadalupe Escarcega, Patricia Castillo, and Christina Escarcega; and his nephews Diego Campos-Escarcega, Manuel Castillo III, Joseph Castillo, Michael Castillo, Gabriel Castillo, and his niece Annalicia Roque.
