Bessie Lucero, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on February 15, 2026. She was born November 8th, 1939 in Cuba, New Mexico.
Bessie was the heart and soul of her family. She was known for her love, strength, and devotion to those she cherished most. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and warmth to everyone who knew her. She is survived by her sisters: Flossie Montoya, Mary and her husband Antonio Griego, Vita and her husband Gene Bush. She also leaves behind her five children: Geraldine and her husband Audie, Sharon and her husband Randy, Eric and his wife Annette, Joyce, Janice and her husband Christopher.
Bessie was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren: Randy, Jacquelyn, Claudia, Erica, Dominique, Jonathan, Phillip, and Ivan. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Jeremiah, Mila, Arya, Carson, Hudson, and Jackson.
Bessie will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
