Chris Ynostroza, age 74, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 12,2026 while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in San Francisco CA and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM. Chris served in the USAF at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque NM for 4 years. Lastly, he was a supervisor in animal care for Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute for 30 years.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents Ascuncion Martinez Ynostroza and Maria Louisa Fuentes.

Chris is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Geri Ynostroza, his sons Chris Ynostroza Jr, Armando Ynostroza and daughter Desiree Jaramillo; 2 granddaughters Kaitlyn Ynostroza and Kaylee Ynostroza. Also surviving are his brothers Leo and Walt; Sisters Carmen and Juanita. And many other loving relatives and friends. 

Chris will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.
