Cynthia Lynn Bark was born on October 4, 1975 to Andrea (Bark) Knight in Denver, Colorado. She lived in her Great-grandmother’s 2 room log cabin near Manderson, SD. When she was 8 years old, she moved to Albuquerque, NM with her mom, where her mom met and married her stepfather, Reverend Dr. Ronald J. Knight. She returned to Pine Ridge with her grandmother LeVeta Bark where she graduated from Red Cloud Indian School in 1995. She later moved back to Albuquerque as her permanent residence. In 2020 she started her beloved career with the City of Albuquerque Library Maintenance Department. February 2, 2024, she married her longtime partner of 16 years Anthony Young. In June of 2025, Cynthia graduated from the Management Development Program with City of Albuquerque and began a fulfilling role as a supervisor in the Transit Maintenance Department. No matter what life brought her way, Cynthia's faith and trust in God always remained firm. She was proud member of the Oglala Lakota Nation. She will be remembered for her strong personality, love for reading and her fierce love for her family. Cynthia is proceeded in death by her husband Anthony Young, father Ronald Knight, uncle David Bark. She leaves behind grandmother LeVeta Bark, mother Andrea Knight, sister Florence Flores, brother Ryan Bark Sr. sister Mary Knight uncle Richard (Rick) Bark, uncle Raymond Bark aunt Leisa Bark. Cousins Forrest Bark, Kyeleigh Bark, Kotah Bark, David White Calf, Delly Rae Starr. Nieces and nephews Tamika Cherry, Lasha Knight, Diane (Johnson) Knight, Latasha Knight, Mahpiya Bark, Ryan Bark Jr. Kotah Bark, Angelica Lynn Bark, Daniel James Knight. Great nephews and niece Jamil Knight, DeMarkus Johnson, Jasmine Cherry and her beloved four-legged fur baby "Baby-Boy".
