In Loving Memory of Daniel W. Tardiff
Daniel W. Tardiff, age 69, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, surrounded by the love of his family.
Daniel was born on February 24, 1957, in Appleton, Wisconsin, to Bert and Charmayne Tardiff. He was raised in Appleton and attended Xavier High School and University of Wisconsin, where he excelled in athletics, participating in football, baseball, and basketball. His passion for sports continued throughout his life inspired him to coach his son in the same sports he loved as a young man.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Daniel touched countless lives through his kindness, loyalty and unwavering dedication to those he loved.
Daniel was an avid sports enthusiast whose love for the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Braves became a passion shared by his family. Beyond sports, he found great enjoyment in horse racing, golf, and spending time with his family. He has a special place in his heart for his beloved dogs, Sage and Sophie, who brought him great joy and companionship.
Nothing brought Daniel greater happiness than his family, and will be remembered by his wife Tamara (Voldsness), his son Alexander Tardiff (Kelly), his daughter Jaclyn Tardiff, and his treasured grandchildren, Madison and Aidan. His grandchildren adored their Papa and will miss his love, guidance and the many special memories they shared together.
Daniel is a survived by his brothers, Bart Tardiff, Lance Tardiff, as well as his sisters-in-law Kim Heinz (Tony Heinz) Katie Maurer (special friend Kevin Kerstner) Becky Donaldson (Steve Donaldson) his brother-in-law Brian Voldsness (Laura Voldsness)
Daniel remained especially close with his brothers throughout his life along with his son Alex, they shared many memorable adventures, including annual trips to Las Vegas for March Madness and NFL opening weekend. Known for his sports knowledge and handicapping expertise, Dan was always eager to share his insights and often helped turn those trips into winning experiences for everyone involved. He also cherished spending time with his brother Bart, making frequent visits for Atlanta Braves and Arizona Diamondbacks games, Kentucky Derby viewing parties, and trips to Mexico. These cherished traditions created lasting memories that will deeply be missed by all who shared them.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Bert and Charmayne Tardiff, his mother-in-law Theresa Voldness, father-in-law Edmond Voldness, grandparents, Glenn and Arline Klemmer.
Daniel will be remembered for his warm heart, sense of humor, love of sports, commitment to family, and the countless memories he created with those fortunate enough to know him.
Though he will be deeply missed, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him forever.
