Diane P. Scully

Diane Scully left this world on October 16, 2022 at the age of 57.  She died in her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Her friends and family should take comfort in knowing that, although the cause was cancer, she did not have a prolonged illness.  We are all grateful for this.

Diane was eminently compassionate, always offering aid and a shoulder to lean on.  She instinctively knew when someone needed a grounding force and was there, willing to give her time energy, comfort and support.

She was passionate about life.  She enjoyed her work as a massage therapist and healer.  She gave herself fully to caring for her family and friends, her home and pets.  Her enjoyment came from spending time camping with her family, music, sharing meals with friends and finding quiet time in her yard. 

Perhaps her greatest attribute was her ability to find humor and help us find laughter through our tears.  She brought a ray of light into our lives and we will forever hold her in our memory.

Diane is survived by her life partner Therese Ortega, her brothers Greg Hamel and Gary Hamel and her nieces, Aimee Hartley Hamel and Leah Hartley Hamel.  She will always be remembered by her life long friends Therese, Debbie, Jenny and Kara as a member of their First Graders Club.
