Dona Vigil-Spak

November 19, 1931 — September 26, 2021

Our mom, passed away, Sunday, September 26, 2021. She was a feisty woman who was born in northern New Mexico on November 19, 1931. Senaida was a proud member of the Jicarilla Apache Nation. She was an elder, an aunt and grandma to many. She proudly served in the U.S. Navy. While stationed in Hawaii, she met and married her Marine Corps husband. She had 5 daughters she raised on different military bases throughout the U.S. As the family moved, she pursued taking great care of us, going to all of our sporting events, getting to know all of our friends, taking beautiful care of our home and working. Never settling into retirement, she wanted to go back to work and buy another car! She enjoyed helping her grand children, going to bingo, bird watching and driving.

Dona has left quite a legacy … her family. Debby and John De La Rosa, Linda McCutchan, Sandy Schafer, Jackie and Russell Hodge, Dina and Felix Rabanal. Her grand children, Jessica and Christopher Marlowe, Justin and Sarah De La Rosa, Sarah Jayne McCutchan, Hezakiah Wright, Amoreena Wright, Jack Schafer, Rebecca Schafer and Joan Hodge. And, her great grandchildren, Alexander Marlowe and Carolina Marlowe. Mom will be cremated and her ashes will be at rest in Hawaii - her favorite place to be. Aloha Oe.
