Elizabeth (Beth) Wood, Wife, Mother, and Educator, Passes Away

Beth Wood a beloved wife, mother, foster-parent and dedicated educator, passed away March 2, 2024 after a difficult battle with cancer. She was 65 years old.

Beth is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, Ted Wood, her children, Jim Wood (married to Heidi Wood) and Ben Wood, her mother, Ruth Yaeger, and her siblings, Jeff Yaeger (married to Yolie Yaeger), Barbara Yaeger, Carl Yaeger (married to Sheila Yaeger), and Curt Yaeger (married to April Yaeger). She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Beth enriched the lives of countless children as a passionate teacher and educational diagnostician. Her dedication to her profession extended far beyond the classroom walls, as she tirelessly advocated for her students and their individual needs.

Beth was a woman of many talents and hobbies. She found immense joy in the art of sewing, creating beautiful and intricate quilts that reflected her unique creativity donating many to local charities. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore the world through travel often on a bicycle, cherishing the memories made in new and exciting destinations. Beth and her husband Ted rode their tandem bicycle across the United States, did at least one ride in all 50 states, and rode on 6 continents.

A celebration of her life will be held in the near future, however if you would like to honor Beth, please consider a donation to a cancer research charity of your choosing.

Beth leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication that will continue to inspire those who knew her for generations to come.

May your bobbin always be full, and the wind always be at your back.  We will miss you.
