Eva Castillo

March 15, 1962 — May 1, 2024

Our beloved mother Eva Mae Castillo was of the Tódích'íi'nii clan (The Bitterwater People) and born for the Hashtł'ishnii clan (The Mud People) her maternal grandparents were of the Ta'neeszahnii clan (The Tangle People) and her paternal grandparents were of the Naasht'ézhí clan (The Zuni People). She was from Torreon, New Mexico and resided in Tinian, New Mexico with her family. She is the daughter of the late Leo and Mae Sandoval. She was employed at Ojo Encino Day School as a cafeteria cook for 16years. She was the wife of Timothy Castillo of Pueblo Pintado,NM. She has 6 girls, Phoebe Begay, Euphilla Dale, Amber Castillo, Timothea Tohonnie, Teva Castillo, and Timberlee Castillo. She has 9 grandchildren,  Monique Toledo, Sydney Begay, Issac Tohonnie Jr. Omar Tohonnie, Khole Tohonnie, Zoey Tohonnie, Carter Tohonnie, Logan Castillo, and Paige Castillo. Her brothers Jackson Sandoval and Max Sandoval, sisters Rena Sandoval, Ludie Sandoval, and Ava Sandoval. She was a very loving person. She will be greatly missed. She loved on many of her friends and relatives. She couldn’t just walk on by anyone without her greeting someone. At home when she gets a visitor, she always prepared a meal with a cup of hot coffee. That’s how she also showed her love, by letting you leave her home with a full tummy.  It was a pleasure to share our mother and her love with you all. We were truly blessed to have a beautiful, wonderful, brave, tough, lovable, caring mother. We appreciate all those who want to pay their respects. Thank you from the family of Eva Castillo. Our Mama, Wonder Woman, now our Angel.
