Guadalupe Chavez

Guadalupe "Lupe" Chavez, age 84, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, was embraced by the Lord Friday, September 29, 2017 and taken to Eternal Life.   He was born in Albuquerque, NM, where he was raised in Los Padillas area and was a longtime resident of Bernalillo, NM.  Lupe will be fondly remember by his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donacino and Rita Chavez; and his son, Glenn Chavez, Sr.  Lupe is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Mary H. Chavez of the family home; his daughter, Velda Chavez of Albuquerque;  grandchildren, Glenn Chavez, Jr., and Antoinette Garcia and husband Anthony; his great-granddaughters, Alexandra and Angelina Garcia all of Bernalillo, NM; and many other loving relatives and friends.  Lupe will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.

A Rosary will be recited Friday, October 6, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino Del Pueblo, in Bernalillo, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.  Private Inurnment will take place at a later date.
