Henry Perez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, age 88, was surrounded by his loving family when he went home to be with the Lord and loving wife on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Henry proudly served in the United States Army as an infantryman and continued his military career by serving in the New Mexico Army National Guard. He was honorably discharged as an E5. Henry was also employed by Duke City Lumber where he retired after 47 years.
Henry is preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Perez, his parents Vicente and Irenea Perez, grandchildren Eliana Perez and Sebastian Ibanez, along with his four sisters and six brothers. He is survived by his children H. Glenn Perez and wife Charlotte, George Perez and wife Karen, Leonard Perez and wife Victoria, and Matthew Perez and wife Laura. Henry is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
While Henry not only devoted his life to his Catholic faith and family, he also loved to fish and camp, go for walks, and visit with friends and neighbors. He brought warmth and vibrance to those around him. Henry is loved greatly and will be missed by his family and those who knew him. There was never a holiday or birthday that went by when he didn’t bring out his harmonica or accordion. The laughter and joy he brought to those around him will never be forgotten and will forever be missed.
