Jennie Crespin

October 1, 1931 — September 20, 2015

Jennie Marie Edwina Crespin, age 83, passed away while surrounded by her family, Sunday, September 20, 2015.   She was born in Albuquerque, NM to the late Max and Victoriana  Chavez.  Jennie loved people stopping by to visit her.  You would never leave her house hungry.  She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  Jennie especially loved spending time loving and teaching her grandchildren.  Anyone that was touched by Jennie knows how full of love and joy she was.  Jennie is now reunited with her husband holding hands and dancing as they did for 56 years of their married life.  How do you say goodbye to such a beautiful soul?
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe D. Crespin; sons, Mateo Vincent, Joseph; daughter, Mary; and most recently by her sister, Barbara Griego.  Jennie is survived by her children, Augustine Crespin, Joe Crespin and Cruzita Chavez, Kathy Crespin, Victoriana Crespin,Loretta Crespin and Ysidro Najar, Lupe Montoya and husband Michael, Roger Crespin and wife Zenobia; seven grandchildren, Robby Chavez and wife Tali, Jennie Rietman and husband Daniel, Aaron Chavez and wife Lori, Frankie Pete Chavez, Martin Chavez and wife Shasheen, Jolene Gonzales and husband Rey, and Denise Amada Crespin and boyfriend Matt; 15 great-grandchildren, Serena, Patrick, Havanna, Jaiden, Nicholas, Adrianna, Ashlyn, Shania, Shanel, Levi, Justus, Trinity, Lilith, Erik, and Alex; brothers, Edward Chavez, Dennis Chavez and wife Mary; sisters, Lori Aguilar and husband Manuel, Margaret Lopez; sister-in-laws, Barbara Chavez, Josie Lefebre, Rita Jaramillo and husband Leon, Rose Chavez, Connie Crespin, and Tina Crespin; brother-in-laws, Amadeo Sanchez and Tony Crespin; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Jennie will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose hearts she touched.
Visitation will be Monday, September 28, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW, Albuquerque.  A Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St., NW.  Service of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.  Interment will follow at San Carlos Cemetery.  Casket Bearers will be Robby Chavez, Frankie Pete Chavez, Denise Amada Crespin, Theresa Griego, Raymond Aguilar, and Godson, Max Chavez.  Honorary Bearers will be Chris Zamora, Vicente Juan Crespin, and Godsons, Jonathan Aguilar and Felix Chavez.
