Juan Chavez Jr.

Juan D. Chavez Jr. Passed away on September 22, 2021 from complications of a stroke. He was born on April 30, 1958 to Juan De Dios and Barbara Jean Chavez in Albuquerque. Juan was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Randy, sisters Sandra Ann & Juanita, his brother in-law Robert Casados, and niece Nicole Casados Axt. He is survived by his son Jonathan Chavez, sisters Carmen Casados, Jeanette Miller and husband Steve, brother Max Chavez and wife Margie, his close friend Judith Torres-Numen. Juan graduated from Valley High School in 1977, after graduation he joined the Air Force until he received a medical discharge. Prior to his recent retirement he worked for Charlie’s Pump & Well Services for twenty-five years. He was a member of American Legion Post 69, where he loved hanging out with his buddies watching his favorite football team The Raiders. This loss was completely unexpected, leaving family and friends shocked and deeply saddened, they describe Juan as nothing but kind, caring, warm and awesome, he will be missed more than words can say.
