Julia Barbara Jaramillo, beloved and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family, on July 20, 2026 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico at the age of 79.
Julia was a hard working woman who helped run the Blake's Lottaburger in Bernalillo, later becoming a line seamstress for Levi Strauss for 25 years. She then retired to help watch and raise her grandchildren after many years of hard work.
She loved going to the Casino and enjoyed spending time with her husband Albert. She also enjoyed going to the Bingo halls and traveling with her family to new places.
She was also a very family oriented woman stopping at nothing and defying the limits in order to ensure her family's safety and wellbeing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family whether it be hanging out at her house enjoying a nice coke or going to the San Lorenzo fiestas and getting fiesta burgers with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Albert Herman Jaramillo of 49 years, Father Senon and Mother Ruby Valencia along with countless family.
She is survived by her son Gerald Apodaca and wife Marjorie, Daughter Elizabeth Tafoya, and Daughter Charlene Lucero; her precious Grandchildren Matthew, Issac, and Anthony Apodaca, Nichole Gonzalez, and Joshua Lucero along with her Great grandchildren Mateo, Aurora, and Hallie Apodaca. She is survived also by her sister Theresa Duran and brother Walter Valencia along with countless family.
Julia’s funeral services will be July 29, 2026 at Our Lady of Sorrows church in Bernalillo, NM 87004 with a Rosary starting at 10am with mass to follow at 10:30 am and a burial at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 1:15pm with a reception at 3pm in the social center next to the church.
