Age 68, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on August 17, 1946 and was resident of Bernalillo, NM. Leon's passion was working with the Bataan Corregidor Memorial Foundation, which he was the Vice-President. He enjoyed volunteering at the Roadrunner Food Bank and at St. Anthony's Kitchen. Leon will be fondly remembered as a kind, caring, and giving man. Leon loved his red truck, enjoyed watching TV, and his beer. He will be greatly missed and always loved.
Leon is survived by his loving wife, Frances Chavez; his step-son, Dominic; granddaughter, Heavenly, whom he loved so dearly; Heavenly's mother, Jessica; his sister, Leonna; and sister-in-law, Dolores; many other loving relatives and a host of friends. Leon left this world to be with the Lord. "First shed a tear and then remember the happy days. I will forever love you Leon.
