Maria Claudina (Cindy) Dominguez, a beloved figure to many, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025. Born on April 24, 1937, Cindy was a vibrant spirit whose life was characterized by deep devotion to her family, a passion for helping others, and an unwavering faith.
Cindy devoted her professional life to serving the community, making a lasting impact as a Count Assistant for Bernalillo Public Schools and later at Salas Care Inc. Her career was more than just a job; it was a commitment to enriching the lives of those around her, evidence of her generous spirit and diligence.
Cindy’s educational journey began at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic School, from which she graduated in the class of 1955. It was here that she laid the foundation of her seeking spirit, curiosity, and love for learning which would manifest in all areas of her life.
Among Cindy's many interests, fishing held a special place in her heart, allowing her to connect with nature and find peace. She enjoyed Sunday Bingo, relishing not only the thrill of the game but also the camaraderie that came with it. Morning coffee with cousins and friends was a treasured ritual, where stories were shared and laughter echoed, reflecting her warm and inviting personality. Praying was a cornerstone of her life; it brought her solace and strength, enveloping her in comfort throughout life’s challenges.
Cindy is preceded in death by her cherished parents, Able and Abranita Dominguez, and her dear siblings: Dan Dominguez, Susie Chavez, Edwina Dominguez, Teresa Dominguez, and Serafin Dominguez, Joaquin Dominguez and Cirilia Salas.
Cindy’s life may have come to a close, but the love she spread, the lives she touched, and the joy she brought into this world will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman, we celebrate the indelible mark she left on our lives, filled with laughter, lessons, and boundless love. May her spirit continue to guide us and inspire us to live fully, just as she did. She leaves behind a legacy rich in love, memory, and resilience.
