Maria Medina

Maria Medina, age 75, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020. She was born in Torreon, Mexico and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM.  Some of Maria's hobbies were spending time with her family, she loved to dance, travel and listen to music.  Maria will be fondly remembered as a kind hearted, loving person who always had her heart and home open to anyone in need.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Yolanda Medina and Sonya Vigil; son-in-law, Frank Vigil; daughter-in-law, Joyce Medina; and grandson, Michael Santillanes.

Maria is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Antonio Medina; her children, Martha Santillanes and husband Rick, Jose Medina and wife Teresa Chavira, Manny Medina, and Vicente Medina; 18 grandchildren, Greg Doss and wife Terra, Jessica Madrid, Anthony  Medina, Andrew Medina, Ross Vigil, Chantel Lujan, Yolanda Vigil, Christopher Medina, Adrian Medina, Matthew Medina, Olivia Medina, Miranda Diaz and husband Ralph, Marcus Medina, Ryan Medina, Ricky Santillanes, Yazmine Sanchez, Estefanie Chavria, Samantha Hartley; and 21 great-grandchildren.  Maria will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 28, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family ~ Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW, Albuquerque.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Price of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Avenue NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122.  Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery, Bernalillo, NM.  Casket Bearers will be Gregory Doss, Anthony Medina, Andrew Medina, Ross Vigil, Adrian Medina, and Matthew Medina. Masks are required for both events.
