Mary Rhodes

Mary Floy Rhodes, of Cuba, NM, formerly of Albuquerque, NM, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015, while surrounded by her family and loved ones; after a long battle with diabetes. Mary was born June 14, 1944 in Santa Fe, NM.  She loved her children and grandchildren and reveled in their successes and happiness.  Mary was an active member of Cuba Baptist Church serving in many volunteer positions.  She was also on the Sandoval County Fair Board and volunteered with her local 4H Club.  Mary was a gifted seamstress, who loved creating beautiful apparel for her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mary Lee Peckumn, and her sister Sue Ann Estes.  Mary is survived by her four children, Bill Evans and wife, Tammy, Charlotte Crimi and husband John, Tim Evans and wife Gina, and Faith Sanchez and husband Joe; her grandchildren, Niccole Patrick and husband Wayne, Jeannine, Aaron, and Sammi Evans, Megan Elizabeth Frame and husband Matthew, Alan and Collin Evans, Joseph, Andrew, Benjamin, and Jackie Sanchez; one great-granddaughter, Hayden Patrick.  Also surviving are her sister, Nancy Lee Hayward; several nieces and nephews, and countless dear friends.
The family would like to thank the many people who helped care for our beloved Mom during her illness.  Special thanks to Darlene (Barney) Sanchez, Mary's home health care provider.
Visitations will be Friday, August 28, 2015 from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services- Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW, Albuquerque, NM.  Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Cuba, 6361 US-550, Cuba, NM.  Interment will follow at the Cuba Baptist Cemetery.  Casket Bearers will be Joseph Sanchez, Andrew Sanchez, Benjamin Sanchez, Alan Evans, Collin Evans, and Aaron Evans.
In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Cuba, P.O. Box 391, Cuba, NM 87013.
