Mellie Shaw-Wofford

December 27, 1931 — April 1, 2018

Mellie Shaw-Wofford, age 86, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on Easter morning.  She was born in Santa Rosa, NM in 1931.  Mellie moved to a small ranch in the Albuquerque North Valley and graduated from Albuquerque High School.  She married Martin Shaw in 1950, and raised three children.  She also lived in Grants for several years and spent two years living in Saudi Arabia.

Mellie is survived by her loving children, Madonna Holloway and husband Marco, Yolanda Dean and husband Chris, and David Shaw and wife Marvella all of Albuquerque; nine grandchildren, Monica Lujan-Shaw, Steven Shaw, Eric Dean and his wife Melissa, Danielle Arnold and husband Kevin, Cory Dean, Martina Holloway, Matthew Shaw, Robert Shaw, Casey Dean and his wife Shea; and great-grandchildren, Cruz and Mac.  Also surviving are her sister, Celina Aragon; and brother, Louie Baca; and other numerous loving relatives and friends.  Mellie will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.

A Rosary will be recited Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Daniels Family Wyoming Chapel, 7601, Wyoming NE.
