Orelia Winchell
June 3, 1939 — September 23, 2016
Orelia "Ori" Winchell, age 77, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully, Friday, September 23, 2016, while surrounded by her loving children. Orelia was born in Cuba, NM and was a longtime resident of Bernalillo, NM.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Jesusita Segura; brothers, Augustin, Alpolinaro, and Benny Segura.
Orelia is survived by her children, Orlando and Annie Winchell, Michael Winchell, Marlene Winchell, Oliver and Melanie Winchell, Mathew and Belinda Winchell, Inga and Raymond Borrelli, and Jessica Tafoya; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her loving partner, Joe Sedillo; sisters, Stella Gonzales, Eleanor Castillo, Petrita Segura, Andrea Macek, Jenny Garay, and Sylvia Gallegos; brother, Carlos Segura.
We take solace that our beautiful mother has gone home and is no longer in pain. she was truly loved by her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
