Robert Gandert

Robert Carlos Gandert (93), of Albuquerque NM, passed away peacefully on September 16, surrounded by family and close friends. Robert was born in Mora, New Mexico on October 27, 1929 and graduated from Mora High School before joining the Navy in 1947 and was honorably discharged in December 1951.

Robert worked for the Department of Defense, within the Defense Nuclear Agency beginning in 1956 until he retired in 1984.

Robert loved his music, wood working, and fishing with his family at Fenton Lake, (and loved visiting Los Ojos Bar afterwards!). He is survived by his wife, Carmaleta, his sons Bill (Mary), Bob Jr. (Gail), and daughter, April Archuleta; granddaughters Amanda Thomas (Shar), Gabrielle Archuleta (Jessie), grandsons Bo Russom (Maddie), Larry Gandert (Kirah), and Mario Jaramillo, as well as many loving great grandkids.
