Robert Sanchez

Robert R. Sanchez, age 66, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was embraced by the Lord Saturday, May 14, 2016 and taken to Eternal Life.   Robert was born in San Diego, CA and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM.  He was member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.  Robert was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy; he was a member of the American Legion Post #69, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and of the Disabled American Veterans.  His ranch in Cuba, NM had a special place in his heart; he enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and going to Las Vegas, NV.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Sanchez and parents Fernando and Merlinda Sanchez.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Carla Sanchez; his children, Tony Dean Sanchez and fiancée Ernestine Trujillo, John Carlos Sanchez and Bobby Sanchez; his grandchildren, Estephen Sanchez, Tony Sanchez, Luke Sanchez; great grandson, Nathaniel Sanchez.  Also surviving are his brothers, Fernando and Larry Sanchez; sister, Peggy Sanchez; brother-in-law, Dean McDonald and wife Cynthia; sister-in-law Linda McDonald; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Robert will be greatly missed by his loving family and by those whose lives he touched.

A Rosary will be recited at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 9502 Fourth St., NW, at 7:00 p.m. Service of Christian Burial will be at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church.  Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Casket Bearers will be Tony Sanchez, Andrew Montoya, Leroy Chavez, Roman Velarde, John Sanchez, and Jimmy Santana.  Honorary Bearers will be Lawrence Sanchez and Estephen Sanchez.
