It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Theresa Ann Taday, age 82, on August 4, 2026. Leaving behind a lifetime of love, kindness, and service to her family, friends and community.

Theresa attended Sandia High School, where she graduated class of 1961. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed tending to her beautiful garden, loved reading books, and spending time in her kitchen baking. Theresa was a devoted volunteer; she spent countless hours of her time at Animal Humane of New Mexico thrift store, where her love for animals made a meaningful difference. She also supported Basket of Hope, always looking for a way to brighten the life of others. Her generosity, kindness, and willingness to serve reflected the values she lived by every day.

Theresa married her husband Stephen Taday Jr in July of 1962. Together they shared 57 wonderful years of marriage built with love, laughter, and cherished moments.

Theresa will be remembered for her gentle heart, unwavering love for her family, and the joy she found in helping others. Her legacy of compassion, generosity, and dedication will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her son Michael Taday (Dacia), her daughter Nancy Paul, her niece and nephew Randy and Nora De Forest, and her dear friends Thurman Moore III, Mary Meyer, Linda Benavidez, Vern and Janice Anderson, John Cox and Frank Harrison.

She is preceded in death by her husband Stephen Taday Jr, her mother Louise Lee, her father-in-law Stephen Taday, her mother-in-law Josephine Taday, brother-in-law Alan Taday and sister-in-law Jackie De Forest.

Though she is no longer with us, Theresa's love, kindness and beautiful spirit will remain in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

A celebration of life will take place on August 21, 2026 at 12:00pm at the Hilton Garden Inn Albuquerque Uptown, located at 6510 Americas Pkwy, ABQ, NM 87110. Please join the family as they celebrate a life well lived and loved.
