Wesley Gene McCutcheon went to be with the Lord on October 30th, 2021.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 3 pm at the Daniel’s Family Funeral Home, 9420 4th Street, Albuquerque, NM. Viewing will be prior to the service from 1pm to 3 pm.
Wesley was born on March 2nd, 1980, in Roswell, NM. He was an active Boy Scout and worked with his Dad in construction. His family moved to Albuquerque NM in 1996. Wesley graduated from Manzano High School in 1998 and attended Eastern New Mexico University.
Wesley joined the U.S. Air Force in March 2000. He served in the Security Forces at Spangdahlem, Germany, Iraq, and Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Wesley received the AF Achievement Medal, AF Training Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, AF Longevity Award, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon/Pistol, NATO Medal, AF Outstanding Unit Award, and Meritorious Unit Award. He completed his service in March of 2006.
Wesley loved the outdoors. Fishing, 4-whelling, watching the sunrises, hot air balloons and sunsets were his favorite outdoor activities. He liked tinkering with small construction and welding projects. Wes was one of the biggest Dallas Cowboy fans ever. He loved spending time with his wonderful family on the phone or at special family gatherings.
Wes is survived by his mother, Charlotte McCutcheon and father, Gene McCutcheon and his wife Nancy; brother Brandon McCutcheon and his wife Alanna; nephews, Carson and Carter and niece Caylee; grandparents, Buck and Charlene Gibson and Martha McCutcheon, his son Austin; and his best friend Shanna Armenta.
Condolences may be sent to 1420 6th Street, Rio Rancho NM 87124. Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to DAV, Disabled American Charitable Service Trust or the Watermelon Mountain Ranch Dog Rescue.
