Lillian Rivera

Lillian Erenia "Irene" Baldonado Rivera, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully, Saturday, March 7, 2020, while surrounded by her family.  She was born in Cuba, NM and was a resident of Algodones, NM.  Lillian worked and retired from the Bernalillo Public School system; she also worked for the Stones Trading Post and Rafael's Silver Cloud. She was a devoted Catholic and loved teaching catechism to children, and singing in the choir.  Lillian cared for many children, and adopted a beautiful baby girl.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eduvigen and Anita Baldonado; her husband Joe Richard Rivera; and siblings, Leroy, Marcial, Julian Baldonado, and Esther Lerma.

Lillian is survived by her loving children, Ronald Rivera and wife Lorraine, Donald Rivera and wife Kathy, Marlene Eaton and husband Brian; 13 grandchildren,; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  Also surviving are her sisters, Angelita Garcia, Lorraine  Segura, and Sadie Baldonado; brothers, Jimmy and Gilbert Baldonado; and other numerous relatives and friends.  Lillian will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those whose lives she touched.

Visitations will be Monday, March 16, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the Chapel of Daniels Family ~ Alameda Mortuary, where a Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM.  Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho, NM.  Casket Bearers will be Ron Rivera, Francisco Rivera, Joseph Rivera, Joshua Rivera, Daniel Rivera, Jacob Moreno, and Dennis Saavedra.  Honorary Bearers will be Michael Chavez, Andres Chavez, Andrew Eaton, Gilbert Tenorio, and Reina Trujillo.
