Patsy Romero

Patsy I. Romero, age 82, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend was called home by her lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, November 27, 2020, in her home surrounded by family, after suffering a stroke. Patsy was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on June 3, 1938 to the late Josephine Seiler and Pete R. Santillanes. She was preceded in death by her longtime friend, love and husband, Billy A. Romero, whom she married on July 22, 1961, infant son, beloved sister, Martha "Sis" Gutierrez, and brother, Michael John Santillanes. Patsy is survived by her sons Andy R. Romero, Raymond L. Romero, his wife Naomi Locklear and their two children Madelyn R. Romero and Grace M. Romero, daughter, Antoinette R. Romero, and her three children Ernest M. Romero, Nicholas Paradiso, and Joshua Paradiso, great-granddaughter Aurora M. Romero, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Most every weekend Patsy could be found engaging in her favorite pastime; bingo. She was an avid and loyal Lobo basketball fan, and most excellent cook. Her later years were filled with quiet time at her home in Corrales, New Mexico. Before she passed, she enjoyed traveling from coast to coast with Billy in their motor home. Patsy will be dearly missed by all.

A drive-up memorial service will be held for Patsy on Saturday December 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the El Buen Samaritano United Methodist Church.
