Rafael Armijo Jr.

In Loving Memory of Rafael (aka Ralph, aka “Dude”) Michael Armijo, Jr., 56, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 after fighting a tough and long illness. He graduated from Wagon Mound High School in 1982, in Wagon Mound New Mexico and was a veteran of the Army Reserve National Guard.

Ralph was employed by Roadrunner Tire Distributors for many years as a warehouse driver, then as a warehouse manager and moved to the sales office. He also was employed by the same owner of Roadrunner Tire at a previous tire company 20 years ago.

Ralph loved listening to Spanish music, loved going to the casino, going to the horse races, and loved going on vacations. He loved playing board games and collected football and basketball cards with his step grandson Logan.

Ralph is survived by his longtime partner Sally Ann Garcia of 15 ½ years, daughter Samantha Armijo, Son Matthew Armijo and daughter Michelle Armijo, one sister Julia (Jesse) Aragon, four nieces, Jessica (Gerald) Lucero, Amanda (Joe) Baca, Crystal Baca, and Jennifer Armijo and partner Miguel Martinez, step grandchildren, Logan Lawson, Marlisa, Annaleah, and Zackery Torrez and numerous great nieces and nephews and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rafael Armijo, Sr. and Fedelina Armijo grandparents Miguel and Sophia Armijo, Silviano and Lucia Duran.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 17th from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Alameda Mortuary Chapel, 9420 4th St NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114. Rosary to be held at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church located on 300 Mildred Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107. Rosary on Tuesday, May 18th at 9:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:15 a.m. Interment to follow, Santa Fe National Cemetery @ 12:45.
