Rick Sanchez

Rick Sanchez, a loving Son, Husband, Father, Grandpa, Uncle, Nino, Brother, Cousin, and Friend, passed away unexpectedly on Friday December 3rd, 2021 at the age of 53.
Rick is survived by his parents Joann and TJ; sister, Kassi; his soulmate Melba; children, Jude, Dominic, and Monica; daughters in law, Victoria and Amanda; son in law, Brandon; grandchildren, Joziah, Emmett, Bryssa, and Zayn; And all his nephews, neices, cousins, in laws, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Rick was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico on October 9th, 1968. He graduated from Highlands University in 1991 with his Bachelors degree in Electronic Engineering. During this time, he met his beautiful wife Melba of 29 years. Rick and Melba created a precious family of 3 children and built their dream home in the North Valley of Albuquerque. Rick's successes were many and extraordinary, but none topped his family whom he loved above all.
Rick loved skiing, fishing, drawing, cooking, sewing, gardening, dancing, riding his Harley, building, creating, and hanging out with his family and friends. One of his talents and passions was music. He loved playing guitar, singing, playing bass, and occasionally playing drums. He learned many songs and wrote a few originals. He loved cooking red chile, green chile stew, beans, chicharrones, steaks, and breakfast.
Rick was exemplified by his Catholic Faith. He was very active with the Church and participated in the Knights of Columbus, ACTS men's retreats, the choir, and always volunteered whenever needed.
Rick was the light of the room and the life of the party. He brought the best out of everyone he interacted with. He always made everyone feel special in their accomplishments, talents, and strengths. Rick was fearless. His courage was unrivaled and his faith could move mountains. Rick was always stepping out of his comfort zone and encouraged others to do the same. When someone needed something he was there. When someone needed prayers he was on his knees with his hands clasped and his eyes closed in reverent prayer. Rick had such a huge heart and compassion for anyone in need. His determination and perseverance is what taught us how to be successful. Rick's humor was unsurpassed. He could make you laugh so hard you would cry. He was an instrument of God's love and shared our Lord with all he could. He will be deeply missed by many and his memory will live on.
